Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again criticized the West for alleged lack of initiative in ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, TRT Haber reports.

The Turkish leader attended the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) , where the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, was also located. Erdogan said that Turkey wants to become a member of the SCO.

The Turkish president also commented on the war in Ukraine. He said that he was dissatisfied with the policy of the West, allegedly not offering options to end the war.

“Unfortunately, there is no situation when among these visible states in the world they ask:”What can we do, how can we solve this issue?” We gave the necessary answer to the West, and to all of them, especially the United States, with the initiatives that we made, the policy of balance that we adhered to from the very beginning, – he said.
