80 EUROS at agrave; save THANKS TO THE EPIC GAME STORE

The date is known, it is every Thursday, at 5 p.m., that the platform makes available to PC players one, or sometimes several, free games. Gamers then have a week to add the title in question to their game library, already well filled since the start of the offer in 2018.

This week, the video game distribution giant is offering two new free games: The Callisto Protocol, a horror TPS very inspired by the Dead Space license and Gigantic: Rampage Edition, the 5v5 MOBA/hero-shooter from Abstraction Games. And by looking at this offer, we notice that players can make a saving of almost 80 euros, the titles being sold respectively at 59 euros and 20 euros at other competitors. Enough to ease the wallet before looking at the big releases coming at the end of the year.

THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL

The comparison with Dead Spaceand its remake is obvious. And that's normal, because behind the title, hides Striking Dance Studios, a company founded by Glen Schofield, co-creator of the saga and a reference in space survival horror. On the story side, Jacob, the main character, finds himself locked in a prison by a terrorist group on the planet Callisto.Things get worse when he notices that the prisoners and guards are turning into bloodthirsty monsters because of a strange disease. Objective, survive, and escape. Unfortunately, the title quickly disappointed upon its release. A disillusionment all the greater since the game was presented with great fanfare as the worthy successor to Dead Space. But it is clear that Jacob's space epic does not come close to the license, and even less so to the remake released last year. Very far from being the revolution announced, the title falters due to its dated level design, numerous collision bugs, poorly balanced AI, an ultra-limited inventory, forcing back and forth, and a scenario that is not at all innovative. The observation is clear on Steam, with a low 65% of positive opinions on more than 30,000 evaluations. The sinking of The Callisto Protocoleven pushed Glen Schofield at; resign.

GIGANTIC: RAMPAGE EDITION

Gigantic: Rampage Edition is a premium and definitive version of Gigantic, the famous 5v5 MOBA/hero shooter, offering a thrilling multiplayer gaming experience for fans of both genres. In Abstraction Games' title, you must choose from 25 heroes with unique abilities and team up with four other players to control the map's objectives and defeat the opposing goalkeeper while protecting your own. Three game modes are available. Rush, a new, more accessible, fast and frantic mode for all players, Clash: an intensely strategic team-based gaming experience and a customization option, to create your own games by choosing the map of your choice, and organizing friendly competitions.

The Callisto Protocol and Gigantic: Rampage Edition are available for free on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, August 29, 5 p.m., right here.
