Emergency landings of aircraft in Russia have become the norm: another “Superjet” breaks down

This week alone there were three emergency landings of Russian «Superjets».

This week, the third Superjet passenger aircraft – a Sukhoi Superjet 100 – of the Russian airline Azimut broke down during a flight. The aircraft was made an emergency landing at the Mineralnye Vody airport. Passengers and crew members were not injured, writes The Moscow Times.

The plane was flying from Mineralnye Vody to Sochi. The captain of the aircraft decided to return shortly after takeoff due to a malfunction sensor in the fuel filter.

Earlier, on November 24, the plane made an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk. The cause was a malfunction in the hydraulics of the front landing gear. Another plane, which was flying from Sochi to Turkey, caught fire after landing at Antalya airport. Passengers had to be evacuated via an inflatable ladder.
