Today, March 21, Elon Musk's neurotechnology company Neuralink released a video in which they showed the first person to have a brain chip implanted. Radio Maxim tells the details of how this happened and what the consequences will be.

This is a significant step in the development of the company, which last year received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to conduct trials of its electronic brain implant in humans. This is reported by The Washington Post.

In a video published on the social network Mask X, a 29-year-old patient, Noland Arbo, who is paralyzed from the shoulders down after an accident eight years ago, showed how he moves on his own cursor while playing computer chess, which he likes.

Notably, the Neuralink device and similar products are designed to read brain activity to decipher a person's intentions for movements, after which they can take appropriate actions. Arbo said that first he trained to make movements with his hand, and then he easily imagined the movement of the cursor.
