The Tesla company plans to implement Tesla Optimus robots in its factories to automate the production of electric cars, reports Electrek with reference to Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.

According to Musk, by 2025 in the factories Tesla plans to launch more than 1,000 such humanoids. Two robots are already working at the company's factories, which are used to sort batteries into containers, which was mentioned earlier.

Elon Musk predicts that the introduction of Tesla Optimus robots will significantly increase the value of the company by tens of billions of dollars. He also predicts that the market for humanoid robots will reach 1 billion units per year in the near future, and if this prediction comes true, Tesla will be able to capture about 10% of this market, which is approximately 100 million robots per year.

The entrepreneur clarified that the cost of the Tesla Optimus is $10,000, and the robots will be sold for $20,000. The company expects that it will be able to earn billions of dollars from the sale of humnoids.

The launch of sales of the first batch of Tesla Optimus is scheduled for the beginning of 2025. It is a B2B sale, that is, Tesla will supply robots to other companies so that they can hire them for production. Elon Musk estimates that if his startup is successful, the value of the company could reach $3 trillion. For comparison, Apple, Microsoft and NVIDIA cost so much.
