Elon Musk changed his name and photo on the social network X: what is his name now?

American billionaire Elon Musk changed the name of his profile on his social network X to Kekius Maximus. Musk also changed his profile avatar. Now there is an image with the Internet meme Pepe the Frog.

The changes to Elon Musk's Twitter page took place on December 31. He did not comment on this, nor did he say whether he would return it to how it was before.

Pepe the Frog, depicted in Musk's profile photo, is dressed in an outfit that resembles gladiator armor and holds a game joystick.

The Economic Times noted that the move coincided with the rise in popularity of a meme-inspired cryptocurrency token called Kekius. Over the past week, its price has increased by more than 5,000%, which has attracted interest from investors and meme culture.

“As soon as Elon Musk changed his name and avatar, it led to the coin soaring above 500% in a few hours”, – writes the publication.

The Economic Times emphasizes that although the connection between Musk's new profile name and the cryptocurrency is not clear, the changes may still indicate his involvement in the crypto space. The billionaire's move has fueled speculation about his support or interest in the KEKIUS token.

By the way, this is not the first time Musk has changed the name of his Twitter account. In January 2023, he changed it to “Mr. Tweet” (Mr. Tweet).

“Changed my name to Mr. Tweet, now Twitter won't let me change it back”, – Musk wrote at the time.
