The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has come up with an initiative to introduce a new PTS in the country. This decision was made throughout the territory of the Eurasian Union. Thanks to this, employees of the relevant services will receive all the necessary information about the machine in a convenient format. It is noted that electronic documents will allow storing more data, and when working with them there will be less chance of making a mistake, since a civil servant will not have to transfer information from one vehicle passport to a new one when reissuing, but only supplement the existing electronic form. The owner of the car can also make some edits in it, but in this he will be very limited. Another convenience of the innovation is the speed of information processing. Access to them will become easier, which will facilitate the work of traffic police officers. The base will be the same for all countries of the EAEU. There is no need to fear the loss of a document.
From November 1, all new cars sold in Russia will receive an electronic passport of a technical device. Old cars will retain paper documents, but if desired, the owner can get a new version.
