The Comptroller General of the Republicreported that more than 690 candidates for this year's regional and municipal elections are included in control reports for allegedly having criminal, civil or administrative liability as a result of their management in State entities.
According to the platform implemented by the Comptroller, called “In these elections, you have control”, Lima concentrates the largest number of applicants included in reports with 92.
They are followed by Arequipa (61), Junín (46), Piura (40), La Libertad (37), Cajamarca (36), Ayacucho (35), Lambayeque (35), Loreto (34), Cusco (32), Puno ( 31), Áncash (31), San Martín (27), Callao (25), Ucayali (24) and Huancavelica (14).
Candidates immersed in control reports are also registered in the regions of Apurímac (14), Tacna (14), Amazonas (14), Huánuco (12), Pasco (12), Ica (11), Moquegua (6), Madre of God (5) and Tumbes (4).
The control report is the technical document issued by the bodies of the National Control System, such as the Comptroller General, the Regional Control Offices and the Institutional Control Bodies (OCI), as a result of the supervision and control actions of legality of the execution of the public budget.
In case of identifying criminal, civil or administrative responsibilities in the authority, officials or public servants of a certain entity for improper handling of public resources, are included in these reports, so that the controlled entities and the justice system adopt the corresponding actions.
