The National Office of Electoral Processes(ONPE) will develop this Sunday, September 18, at the national level, the first day of face-to-face training for 505,938 polling station members, regulars and alternates, with a view to the regional and municipal elections< b>October 2nd.

The activity will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. m. to 1:00 p.m. m., in a total of 3,752 locations, mostly educational institutions, enabled throughout the country.

In the < b>Fence of Lima, the training will take place in the educational institutions Héroes del Cenepa, Simón Bolívar, Emblemático Hipólito Unanue, La Salle school and in the Federico Villareal (Faculty of Law and Political Sciences) and San Marcos (Door No. 3) national universities, among other premises.

During the day, table members will receive all the information necessary to hold office during installation, voting and the scrutiny, as well as training material similar to the one they will use on Sunday, October 2, to practice their tasks in the three phases of the election.

In In some cases, they will also have computer equipment to train in the use of the Scrutiny Support Technological Solution (STAE) that will be applied in 5 districts of Metropolitan Lima.

For ease of table members, the ONPE has published on its website the locations where the first training session will take place.

Sunday, October 2 , the members of voting tables, principals and substitutes, must present themselves at the corresponding polling place from 06:00 a.m., so that the polling stations begin to function from 07:00. The installation of the polling station is recorded in the electoral act.

If the polling station members are missing?

If there are no main table members at 07:00, the table is set up with those who are present either regulars or alternates, as long as be three. Write “Missed” in the signature space of each absent table member.

In the event that the voting table is not formed until 7:00 a.m. because one or two of its members (senior and alternate) are missing, in order to complete the voting table, whoever assumes the presidency appoints one or two people from the row at that table. These sign in the list of table members not drawn. People setting up a table must not be related to each other (parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, stepparents, or step-siblings).

If no table member has arrived at 07:00, the chairperson of the previous or subsequent table appoints three people as table members of the row of the table to install. These will sign in the list of table members not drawn.

In the event that one or a member of the table cannot sign because it is a illiterate person or for having a physical impossibility, said person places his fingerprint in the space of the signature. Then their names, surnames and their ID number are written. The fact is then noted in the “Observations” field of the installation record, which is then covered with a protective sheet.

The second day of training will be held next Sunday, September 25, at the same educational institutions published on the ONPE website.
