Eight combat helicopters of the Russian Federation took off from Belarus: where were they sent

Eight Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters of the Russian Air Force flew from the airfield of Belarus, which arrived at the Belarusian airfield “Baranovichi” the day before.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine with reference to “Belarusian Gayun” in Telegram.

“At 8:36 a.m., 8 Mi-24 helicopters took off from the Baranovichi airfield and Mi-8 VKS of the Russian Federation. Currently, the helicopters are heading for the Russian Federation and are departing from Belarus,” the message says. >

According to the monitoring group, currently in Baranovichi there are:

  • 2 reconnaissance aircraft Su-24MR of the Russian Air Force;
  • minimum 4 Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Air Force;

What happened before

Recall that it was previously reported that six Russian Mi-24 and Mi-8 combat helicopters had arrived in Belarus. . However, as it became known later, their number actually amounted to 8 units.

We note that the information about the transfer of Russian aviation to Belarus appeared against the background of the start of joint exercises of the Air Force and Air Defense Defense Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
