Earning money for likes on TikTok videos: law enforcement officers are investigating a scam scheme

Now investigators have access to information that contains a secret protected by law

Employees of the Poltava District Police Department are investigating a case of fraud. The victim of the scheme was offered earnings on Tik Tok, the man was left with 16 thousand hryvnias. This became known from the ruling of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Poltava, which was published in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions on January 8.

The decision indicated that in August last year, the victim received an SMS message from the HR department of one of the companies regarding earnings for completing certain tasks — he needed to like videos sent by administrators on TikTok.

The decision states that for each like had a payment system and a special schedule. Each task and status had a monetary reward and daily bonuses. There was also a special schedule where for a certain task required sending your own money — so you could get paid with bonus earnings.

Now investigators have access to information that contains a secret protected by law, in particular, to the bank card where the money was sent, the phone numbers that were attached to the card, etc.
