Dutch F-35 fighters intercept Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said that F-35 fighters demonstrate daily vigilance against the Russian threat, and the Netherlands, together with Finland and Sweden, intercepted Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea.

“Our F-35s demonstrate daily vigilance against the Russian threat. Yesterday (December 17 – ed.) together with Finland and Sweden, we escorted Russian aircraft with supersonic missiles over the Baltic Sea. Protecting our security requires constant readiness”, – wrote Brekelmans.

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands did not specify the type of Russian aircraft.
