Just a few months after the immense success of Denis Villeneuve's Dune, Part 2, fans of Frank Herbert's universe are eagerly awaiting the release of Dune: Prophecy, whose launch date has been officially announced.

While the Canadian filmmaker has announced that he is working on an adaptation of the novel TheMessiah of Dune, the second volume of the cycle, HBO will soon broadcast the first spin-off series of this new cinematic universe.
Produced by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Prophecytakes place 10,000 years before the advent of Paul Atréides. It will follow the beginnings of the Bene Gesserit, a group of women who influence political and religious spheres, and which includes Dame Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), Dame Margot Fenring (Charlotte Rampling) and Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh). The series, which boasts a stellar cast including Emily Watson, Mark Strong, Jodhi May, Aoife Hinds, Travis Fimmel and Jade Anouka, was revealed at through two extremely promising teasers.
Until now announced for November 2024 without further details, the series Dune: Prophecy finally has a release date. Indeed, responding to a question from a fan, Max Bulgaria's X page announced that the series will arrive on the night of Sunday, November 17 to Monday, November 18, 2024, before deleting its response. In other words, as soon as the series The Penguin is officially over, HBO will continue its momentum with the first series in the Dune universe. While the number of episodes has not been officially announced by the legendary cable channel, some sources are reporting a six-episode mini-series. If this is the case, the series would end on the night of December 22 to 23, 2024. A great way to end the year!
