According to Duda, the idea of creating a European anti-missile defense system – it is a “German business project” that appeared two years ago.
“So it is relatively new compared to what we (Poland – Ed.) started to build and is something completely different “, – noted the Polish president.
He said that Poland currently has no intention of joining this system.
“This is a German project. We have not yet considered the possibility of joining it, because we implement our own – in cooperation with the United States, with Great Britain, and based on what our industry produces, “– said Duda.
In his opinion, the anti-missile defense system currently being developed in Poland is one of the best and most modern in the world.
In February, it became known that Turkey and Greece will officially join to the joint European air defense project “Sky Shield” led by Germany.
From neutral countries, Switzerland and Austria also participate in the initiative.
