Experts found in the blood of the rap artist Elmin Guliyev, who became the culprit of the accident with the victims on Ostozhenka, traces of drugs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes. In addition, as reported by the “TASS” agency, citing its own sources in the law enforcement agencies of Moscow, the artist will be toughened up charges.
According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Irina Volk, it was the prohibited substances in the blood that caused the accusations against the perpetrator of the accident to be toughened. “A preliminary medical examination revealed that the driver was driving while under the influence of drugs,” Volk said. According to her, taking into account the newly revealed circumstances, the investigators decided to re-qualify the charges in the criminal case for a more serious one and to petition for the election of a preventive measure against Guliyev in the form of detention.
It is worth recalling that on September 21, 2020, in the afternoon in Moscow, at the intersection of Pomerantsev Lane and Ostozhenka, there was a collision of Infiniti and Mercedes cars. From the impact, the Japanese foreign car was thrown onto the sidewalk, where it hit a group of pedestrians. The rapper Elmin Guliyev, who was driving an Infiniti car, was previously called the culprit. It is reported that the musician was driving at an overspeed and ignored the redirecting traffic light. As a result of this incident, four people were injured.
