DroneShield enters Europe to confront the threat of drones: a Ukrainian is among the leaders

A surge in demand for anti-drone technology has led Australian company DroneShield to expand its presence in Europe. The Sydney-based company has recruited a “dedicated team of experts” to strengthen its support network in Europe, with a particular focus on Denmark and Germany. Among the representatives is one Ukrainian, as well as support for the Ukrainian language.

Details

This step reflects Europe's growing need for advanced solutions to combat drones, as unauthorized UAV activity is increasingly seen in sectors such as defense, infrastructure and government facilities, reports 24 Kanal with reference to DroneShield's official statement.

The team included experienced professionals with extensive experience in countering drones: Hans Heuer, Asger Hvid, Red McClintock andOlexii Prymin. Representatives speak English, German, Ukrainian, French and Scandinavian languages to provide practical assistance to customers across the continent – from the demonstration of products and their launch to ongoing support.

There is little information about Oleksiy Prymin on the network:

  • According to his Linkedin page, he studied at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (1991-1995) and Ilmenau University of Technology in Germany (1996-2001).
  • Since 2001, worked in Germany for such companies as Gramm Oberflächentechnik GmbH (2001-2007), FARO Europe GmbH & Co. KG (2007-2020) and Dedrone (202-2024).
  • From October 2024, he officially holds the position of Director of Sales at DroneShield.

As the company notes, DroneShield actively cooperated with the defense and security sectors of the region during 2024, attending various specialized events to demonstrate C-UAS systems (mobile missile systems for combating drones).

DroneShield CEO Oleg Vornyk commented on these important changes:

Thanks to our expanded European presence, we are better positioned to meet the growing demand for anti-drone solutions in the region. Our team not only offers advanced technology, but also provides hands-on support to ensure that each customer receives the best possible solution,– said the CEO.

As a reminder, DroneShield offers to its customers the Mk4 hand-held anti-drone gun, another Drone Gun Tactical with increased range, the rapid response kit, the Sentry-X drone Mk2, enemy drone detection sentry systems, optical sensors, EWs, radars, hand-held drone detection devices, software and more.
