Drone racing "military". UAV racing tournament was held in Kyiv region

The 3rd UAV racing tournament of the Federation of Military Technological Sports of Ukraine was held in Kyiv region.

As the correspondent of ArmiyaInform reports, representatives of some units of the Armed Forces, as well as teams of flight schools that train future FPV drone pilots, took part in the competition.

Tasks of pilots — to cover the distance as quickly as possible, avoiding obstacles, and return to the starting point.

48 participants took part in the competition. The tournament consisted of three races. The winners were determined both by personal score and by team.

Such measures — it is not only a competition. Here, military pilots can share their combat experience with students of flight schools. And students — test and sharpen your skills.

Also, such competitions are also a platform for manufacturers who can present their developments. The competitions are held with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Another 10 years ago. people didn't know much about drones. And now they are distinguished by species, arrange gatherings on them and collect them at home. Such tournaments are important. They help not only to find talented pilots or developers. They help to exchange valuable knowledge and and skills so that the number of Ukrainians willing to fly drones increases», — Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitization issues noted.

In the Federation's plans — to hold competitions throughout the country and to attract more young people to this sport. After all, this makes it possible to train future pilots in units of unmanned aviation complexes and increases the defense capability of the country.
