In Ukraine, in September 2022, there will most likely be no increase in the price of gasoline and diesel fuel. This forecast was made by Maxim Bilyavsky, who is the leading expert of the Razumkov Center, writes newsyou.info.
At the same time, according to him, in September it is possible that the price of autogas will continue to decrease, as in the last few months. He believes that fuel for cars with LPG at Ukrainian gas stations in September may fall in price by 7%.
Bilyavsky also predicts that in October 2022 in Ukraine, A-95 gasoline could rise in price to 53 hryvnia per liter, and diesel fuel to 58 hryvnia per liter. The reason is the depreciation of the hryvnia.
Recall that in autumn 2022 Ukraine plans to reintroduce excise tax on motor fuel. Thus, the excise tax on autogas will be 52 euros per 1,000 liters, and on gasoline and diesel fuel – 100 euros per 1,000 liters. People's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada have already approved the relevant bill in the first reading.
The Cabinet of Ministers assures that the introduction of excise tax on fuel will not lead to higher prices. Bilyavsky believes that the excise tax will not have a decisive influence on the growth of fuel prices. But some other experts say that after the introduction of the excise tax on fuel, filling station chains will still increase prices. How it will be in reality – the near future will show.
