Homemade trick for fertilizing the geranium.

Drink the coffee and add the leftovers to the pot with the clod. This will make the plant shower with flowers

Grudnik is one of those plants that shower themselves with flowers for the holidays. According to the “Deccoria” portal, however, this only happens when we provide the plant with the right conditions and power supply. Homemade fertilizer will help with the latter. Thanks to it, the plant will not only start to bloom.

Proper care is the key to success

The Christmas cactus needs the right conditions to bloom. If you provide it with these, it will bloom year after year. The flowers can take up to 6 or even 8 weeks to bloom.

You should start caring for the plant from the right location. Avoid places with a lot of sunlight. A windowsill that will receive a lot of diffused light will work best.

Not only the location is important, but also the type of soil in which you plant the Christmas cactus. It feels best in permeable soil with a slightly acidic pH. In addition, you should not forget about proper drainage at the bottom of the pot. It should be watered regularly, although in small portions — so that the soil remains moist at all times.

You should also remember to fertilize the clodwort. This should be done both during the plant's dormancy and during the flowering period.

This fertilizer will allow the Grudnik to flower longer

When flowers appear on the Christmas cactus, do not move it. If you do, the buds may fall off. Remember to fertilize the plant properly. You can use products available in gardening stores, although it is best to choose biohumus or homemade fertilizers.

“Deccoria” recommends using coffee grounds as a natural fertilizer. It contains nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which stimulate the Christmas cactus to produce buds. They also slightly acidify the soil, which will benefit the entire plant.

Important! As with all fertilizers, moderation is key. If you add too much, the plant may start to get sick. Never throw in wet coffee grounds or freshly ground coffee – throw in dry coffee grounds, left over from brewing coffee.
