Does Vegeta's story mode do justice to the Prince of the Saiyans in Sparking! Zero?

It's been a little over a week now since Dragon Ballis on everyone's lips and for good reason, since the franchise has made a strong comeback this month with several highly anticipated projects. On one side, we find Dragon Ball Daima, the new anime featuring Goku and the Z Fighters in an all-new adventure, and on the other, there is Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, which is probably one of the most anticipated fighting games of 2024.

And if many players were eager to try their hand at Sparking! Zero, this is because it has been presented as a worthy successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, one of the most cult video game series in the Dragon Ball franchise. And although the title has been well received by both critics and fans, some have still highlighted some flaws.

And the latest one concerns Vegeta, or rather his story mode. Indeed, it was on Reddit that an Internet user complained about the treatment received by the famous Saiyan in the game, considering that the developers of Sparking! Zero had not honored the character and his story.

Can we talk about how lazy the Sparking zero devs were when creating Vegetas Story Mode (Spoilers)

We can talk about the laziness of the developers of Sparking Zero when they created Vegeta's Story mode (Spoilers)

I just finished Vegeta's story mode without doing any “what ifs” and I have to say I'm pissed. Let's start with the fact that they skipped the entire Saiyan saga and then continued to not do any “what ifs” in the Namek saga. If you had just let Bro get immortality or let him awaken as a Super Saiyan I would have been okay with it. They even had the audacity to end Bro's entire story with the Majin Buu saga. Seriously, why put DBS Vegeta in the game and on the cover of his story mode if we're not even going to play with his DBS form. There were so many things they could have done in DBS, like let Vegeta transform into SSG and not Goku, kill ROF Frieza before Goku and even let him and Goku become Gogeta or Vegito against Jiren for example. Compared to Trunks or even Goku's story, Vegeta was mistreated. What's your opinion? Let me know in the comments.

If Sparking! Zero is still a great success, many still agree that the game is not without its flaws, pointing out certain shortcomings and weaknesses in the story mode for example.

Some then suggest that this could be due to a rushed release of the game, which could have benefited from a few extra months before its launch. However, it could be that the developers were forced to advance the release date of Sparking! Zero so that it could coincide with that of Daima, which could explain why some elements of the game are not quite up to par. made optimal.
