A few days ago, we learned that the manga Dragon Ball Super would soon resume publication. Today, it is the anime Dragon Ball Daima that gets a release date. We tell you everything!
Dragon Ball Daima: Akira Toriyama's latest work
In early April 2024, manga fans learned news as violent as a blow from a hammer: the legendary mangaka Akira Toriyama, who so profoundly changed the history of shonen nekketsu with works such as Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump, has passed awayfrom a subdural hematoma. His death disrupted a year of celebrations, since Dragon Ball celebrates in 2024 the fortieth anniversary of its first publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump, of which it was one of the flagship series.
In addition to a Sand Land series released exclusively on Disney+, which adapted Toriyama's eponymous manga while giving it a fun sequel,we will discover on October 11th the highly anticipated gameDragon Ball Sparking! Zeroon PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Microsoft Windows. And it is on this same date that Fuji Television has decided to launch Dragon Ball Daima, the latest animated series on which Akira Toriyama has worked.
As a reminder, Dragon Ball Daima will immerse us in a new adventure, during which the Z Warriors will be transformed into children. The name of Son Goku's new form also has an official name. Note that the series promises a return to the roots of the saga, with more humor. Be careful, however, if the Japanese public will be able to discover the first episode of Dragon Ball Daimaas of October 11, 2024, Fuji TV has not yet revealed its plans for the series' broadcast in the West. It is possible that French audiences will be forced to wait a little longer.
However, it will be possible to console oneself with other highly anticipated Japanese animated series, which will arrive next month. We are thinking in particular of the new adaptation of Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi, well known to fans of Club Dorothée, whose production is ensured by the famous studio MAPPA and which will arrive on October 5th. The platform with the red N will also welcome during the month of October the series Dandadan, based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, a former assistant of Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man). A great program in perspective!
