Donation fraud and obstruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: blogger Shavlyuk's arrest extended for another two months

In the Vinnytsia City Court on December 25, the court approved the investigation's motion and extended the preventive measure for blogger Oleksandr Shavlyuk for another 60 days — until February 22, 2025.

Fraud in favor of the enemy and undermining the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — these are the crimes in which the blogger is suspected. Such actions are punishable by up to eight years in prison.

Recall that on October 31, the SBU detained 39-year-old Vinnytsia blogger Oleksandr Shavlyuk, who systematically created and distributed destabilizing content on the Internet resources under his control that affected the country's defense capability.

According to the Vinnytsia region police, the detainee posted video materials prepared by him on the platforms of his media resource, in particular, on the website, YouTube and Telegram channels, which were aimed at obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.
