US presidential candidate Donald Trump created a page on the TikTok social network. Although he tried to ban this platform during his presidential term in 2020.
Trump announced the creation of his account on the TikTok platform on June 1.
The first video on Trump's account was watched almost 65 million people, and almost 3.8 million people subscribed to his page. In the video, he starred with UFC President Dan White at a competition in New Jersey.
According to Politico, the decision to join TikTok is an attempt by Trump to reach potential voters ahead of the November election. . The paper notes that this comes as the app faces a potential ban in the US if it does not get out of the control of its Chinese owner ByteDance.

Let us remind you that in August 2020, Trump signed an executive order “on combating the threat of TikTok”, which obliges American companies within 45 days to stop operations with the company that owns the ByteDance application. Similar measures were applied to the popular Chinese messenger WeChat.
In 2021, the current US President Joe Biden canceled Trump's executive orders, which required American companies to stop cooperation with the Chinese services TikTok and WeChat.
