The former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba punched on the hand quote from Taras Shevchenko's poem “Fate”. In particular, the phrase “We didn't cheat with you”.

The ex-minister published a photo with a tattoo and a post on the 1000th day of the great war between Russia and Ukraine on Instagram.

Under the post, Kuleba mentioned the 1,000 days since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Almost 11 years of Russia's war against Ukraine, 1000 days of which were a full-scale invasion. Exhaustion, despair, death, sacrifice, faith, life are the country's daily routine. The choice is to stop or fight. Everyone makes it every day, – Kuleba commented.

Kuleba noted that the reality of Ukraine is harsh, because there will be no quick end to the war, and without strong changes within the country and in the event of the loss of support from strong partners, there will be no victory.

The defeat will lead to terrible consequences: the loss of statehood and massacres throughout the country. It will be much worse than Bucha and Mariupol, because the enemy's hatred has become even stronger, – Kuleba warned.

But, according to the former minister, Ukrainians should not despair. Instead, they need to continue fighting and respect those who are fighting. And also “be proud that back then, in 2022, they withstood a terrible blow from Moscow, because this happened for the first time in our history.”

Taras Shevchenko once wrote in one of his letters to a friend: “I am going abroad in March, but I will not go to Little Russia, damn it, because there, except for crying, I will hear nothing.” Let's not upset the Kobzar that we have not changed at all in 180 years. We must mourn the dead, honestly realize the strength of the enemy and our own shortcomings, but never deceive each other, believe in the best fate of our beautiful country and people and work for it every day, he added.
