DJI has introduced a small drone that fits in the palm of your hand and is controlled by gestures

DJI has presented a new compact drone called Neo, which is a continuation of the concept of small and light drones for filming content. This is reported by TechCrunch.

The company first released a similar drone in 2017 called Spark, which became popular among social media users due to its gesture control and small size. However, its production was discontinued in 2019. The new Neo is even smaller and lighter — only 135 grams, making it the most compact drone DJI has ever made.

Neo is designed for those who create content for social networks. One of its features is the ability to take off and land in the palm of your hand, as well as control without a remote control. The drone is completely shockproof thanks to the blade framing, making it safe for beginners. The system supports various filming modes, including automatic object tracking and frame capture.

Among the filming modes available: “Drones” (fly back and film the object from above), “Circle” (fly around object), “Rocket” (the height increases when the object is fixed from above) and others. Flight time is limited to 18 minutes on a single charge, which is one of the main limitations due to its small size.

The price of the Neo starts at $199 in the basic configuration or $289 in a set with additional batteries.
