Disneyland Paris: This 90s masterpiece will have its own attraction

For several years, fans of Disneyland Paris have had one good surprise after another. After the Avengers and Frozen, it's the turn of one of the firm's most popular classics with big ears to land in the park. A new attraction has just been unveiled during D23, and it will make people happy!

Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Toy Story, Cars, Dumbo, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan… Many Disney and Pixar classics are referenced at Disneyland Paris, a few kilometers from the capital. A sign of its good health, the theme park continues to expand. After the Avengers Campus, the firm's new expansion project will allow visitors to enjoy a new area called Arendelle: World of Frozen, dedicated to Frozen. And that's not all! During D23, currently underway on the other side of the Atlantic, the company announced that one of its masterpieces from the 90s will finally have its own attraction within the park. As you may have guessed, it's the Lion King, released in 1994.

With Disney having just unveiled the spectacular new trailer for Mufasa, the prequel to the 2019 live action film, fans of The Lion King are in for a treat. According to the first images released at the D23, this new attraction, a pirogue that descends along a waterfall in the heart of a reconstructed savannah populated by animatronic robots, will be located in the Disney Adventure World part. This sector will see its surface area double at the end of the construction, which began in 2018. As for the work necessary to see the attraction emerge from the ground, it will begin in 2025.
