Disney Film Company will shoot a series about King Kong. Deadline reports.

The film will tell about the origin of the famous monster and the secrets of his family. The script is written by Stephanie Folsom (“" “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power”. Among the producers is the master of horror James Wan (“Saw”, “Astral”, “The Conjuring”). He also directed “Aquaman” and the seventh “Fast and the Furious”.

The cast is not yet known, as is the date of the premiere. The series is planned to be released on Disney+.

BAGNET marks the first time King Kong appeared in a film in 1933. In 1976, a remake of this project took place. In 2005, Peter Jackson's film premiered, which was also a remake of the Hollywood classic.

In 2015 the character debuted in the MonsterVerse franchise from Legendary Pictures – the tape "Kong: Skull Island" was released. In 2021, it could be seen on large screens in another project of the – "Godzilla vs. Kong".
