Developers from North Korea presented the secret KF-21 fighter jet

South Korean multi-role fighter KF-21 Boramae successfully carried out 1 000 accident-free test flights. This underlines its reliability and technical excellence.

Developed by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), this aircraft has a maximum speed of Mach 1.8A combat radius of 2 900 km and is equipped with advanced systems such as active phased array antenna (AESA) radars and electro-optical targeting systems. The fighter is designed to strengthen South Korea's defense autonomy and reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.

Serial production is planned to begin in 2026 with an initial order for 120 units for the South Korean Air Force. Prospects for exports to Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries are also being considered. The KF-21 also has the potential to be upgraded to the fifth generation, which would make it a competitor to modern fighters such as the Dassault Rafale and Eurofighter Typhoon.
