Departure from Ukraine for women on military registration will be limited, – Venislavskyi

Women who have a medical or pharmaceutical education must register for military service from October 1, 2023. They acquire the status of conscripts, for whom travel abroad is limited.

This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, representative of the president in the parliament, Fedir Venislavskyi, as reported by "RBK-Ukraine".

Last year, the Rada made changes to Article 1 of the law on mobilization training and mobilization, Venislavskyi recalled. Now, women with a medical or pharmaceutical education must be put on the mandatory military registration.

The Ministry of Defense issued an order on the military registration of women. According to it, from October 1, women who have a medical or pharmaceutical education must register for the military.

If they register, they acquire the status of conscripts. 39; And conscripts go abroad according to the procedure established for conscripts. That is, if there are separate documents that give the right to temporary departure – then yes, they will be able to go. If not, then they, like men, will also be restricted in their right to leave.

The rest of the women who have military accounting specialties related to military affairs, from the same date can enter registration is voluntary.

At the moment, there are no plans to expand the list of specialties for women that must be registered.
