A government commission set up to investigate the plane crash studied the information from the flight recorders. The results of this work were announced by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Urusky. He stated that at the moment the experts have completely deciphered the information from the black boxes and recreated with high accuracy the events that ended in the death of 26 people, including 19 cadets of the flight school. According to the preliminary version, the aircraft crashed due to the failure of the power unit. The check confirmed it. During the sixth flight, the left engine began to work in an off-line mode – the pressure drop sensor of the torque meter worked. In Ukraine, it was stated that this was caused by the failure of one of the control system units.
In addition, the Kiev official announced violations committed during the training flights. They were also allowed in the performance of flight missions. At the moment, the investigation has not been completed. The government commission is not yet ready to announce the final verdict on the An-26 accident.
