Like any self-respecting Marvel movie, Deadpool & Wolverine is full of all kinds of easter eggs. Whether it's the direction of 20th Century Fox, Marvel, or pop culture in general, Shawn Levy's film is full of references and winks. Here are the 20 best Deadpool & Wolverine easter eggs for you. Wolverine's skeleton
We didn't think the film would open in the universe of Logan. The feature film begins with Wade Wilson desecrating Wolverine's grave. The one in which the famous mutant is buried at the end of Logan. What follows is a sequence of very gory fight with TVA agents and Logan's remains.
Gossip Girl
During this same sequence, Deadpool makes a reference to Gossip Girl. He explains that “There are 206 bones in the human body, 207 if I watch Gossip Girl”. An obvious reference to Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds' wife in real life, who starred in Gossip Girl. For the younger readers, we won't explain the joke…
Earth-10005
While we know that the MCU takes place on Earth-616, we didn't really know on which Earth the license took place X-Men. Deadpool & Wolverinefinally answers this question and therefore confirms that Deadpool and the other mutants evolved on Earth-10005.
Adamantium katanas
Adamantium also officially makes its debut in the MCU. The strongest metal in the Marvel Universe, which covers Wolverine's skeleton, finally makes its debut in the MCU thanks to Deadpool's Katanas. Rumor has it that Adamantium will play a major role in Captain America: Brave New World.
Wolverine Variants
While Deadpool is looking for a Logan to help him in his quest to save his universe, he travels the multiverse and crosses paths with many Wolverine variants, from Old Man Logan to Patch and Weapon X,to obviously end on the character's iconic yellow costume. Classy!
The tribute to the MCU
At the beginning of the film, Wade uses Cable's technology to travel through time and the multiverse. We thus find him in 2018 facing each other; Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). A somewhat gratuitous sequence but which nevertheless allows us to offer a tribute to the first hours of the MCU with shots on the helmet of Iron Man and on Cap's shield.
The Secret Wars comics
We had already seen it in the trailer. But when Deadpool arrives in the Vortex, in the Void, we can see a Secret Wars comic book next to him. A simple way to tease the next Avengers, which should adapt the eponymous comic by Brian M Bendis.
References in the Void
In addition to this comic, there are a lot of cult objects to be seen in the Void. Mad Max
The very desert aesthetic of the Void inevitably refers to the universe of Mad Max. Wade even has fun quoting the recent Furiosa by George Miller when Wolverine cuts off Sabretooth's head.
Alioth
The powerful creature Alioth, already present in both seasons of Loki, makes his return in Deadpool & Wolverine. A direct reference to the series led by Tom Hiddleston.
The Greatest Showman
When Deadpool and Wolverinefight in the car, Logan smashes Wade's face repeatedly into the car stereo. The music changes with each crash. One of the songs that starts at the radio is a little piece of one of the cult songs from The Greatest Showman, a musical comedy led by Hugh Jackman.
RIP these heroes
Deadpool & Wolverinefeatures an impressive number of characters, which we listed in another article. But the film also cites a lot of them. Charles Xavier, Magneto, Daredevil, the Punisher, Beast, Storm, Scott, they are all mentioned in the film and all seem to be dead. A way for Disney to remind us that Fox is over!
Dr Strange's ring
To escape from the Void, Deadpool & Wolverine go through a portal of Dr. Strange. Indeed, Cassandra Nova is in possession of a ring of Dr. Strangeto create portals. She explains to the two heroes that she killed an amateur magician to get hold of this ring. It is difficult to know if she was talking about Strange, Wong, or Ned Leeds, who have all had this kind of ring in their hands.

The reference to Rob Liefeld
We already had it; noticed in the trailer, but Deadpool & Wolverine does not forget to pay homage to the creator of the character by offering a small reference to Wolverine. destination of Rob Liefeld.
Stan lee
Even if Stan Lee is deceased in 2018, his influence is still very present in Marvel films and comics. It is therefore in this logic of heritage that Stan the Man appears onan advertisement. on the side of a bus when Deadpool and Wolverine face the Deadpool Corps.
Shawarma
Like at the end of the first Avengers, Deadpool and Wolverine decide to go eat a Shawarma once the fight against Cassandra Nova is over. Deadpool even adds that “the Avengers created Shawarma ».
Ant-Man’s cake
At the very beginning of the film, when Wade celebrates his birthday, he blows out the candles on a blue and white cake that appears to be the same as the one at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Deadpool imitates Spider-Man
When Deadpool and Wolverine go for a drive, Wade can't help but imitate Spider-Man. The opportunity to remind them that this time it's the right one. Deadpool is definitely part of the MCU!
All these references to Disney
There are even a little too many. But Deadpool can't help but make all kinds of references to Disney, which bought Fox. The best example is probably when he talks about coke with his blind roommate.
