This year, Marvel Studios would like to push Deadpool & Wolverine at the Oscars. Released on July 24, Shawn Levy's film was a real popular triumph. The feature film even passed the billion mark with more than 1.3 billion dollars in box office receipts.

Disney seems determined to push Deadpool & Wolverine in the various awards ceremonies. The firm would like to have Shawn Levy's film compete for both the Golden Globes and the Oscars. The Marvel blockbuster is already being considered for consideration in the Best Comedy at the Golden Globes category. Deadpool & Wolverine could appear in 6 categories including Best Actor in a Comedy for Ryan Reynolds.

But the most surprising one concerns Hugh Jackman. Marvel Studios would like to capitalize on the return of the Australian actor in the role of Logan. According to Variety, Hugh Jackman could be making the rounds of awards shows, and could be nominated for Best Supporting Actorin many award shows such as the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, Critics Choice, and even the Oscars.

In addition, Deadpool & Wolverine is already set to win an award in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category recently introduced by the Golden Globes. To be considered for this category, feature films must have a budget of over $150 million. And at least $100 million of the production must come from the United States.

When it comes to the Oscars, Marvel Studios will try to place Deadpool & Wolverine in the technical categories. The first Deadpool was a surprise success. The Tim Miller feature film grossed over $780 million at the box office and was nominated for Ryan Reynolds won two Golden Globes in the categories of Best Comedy and Best Actor.
