David Ospina is close to returning to the courts with Napoli. The Colombian goalkeeper suffered an injury to the ring finger of his left hand in one of his team’s training sessions the previous week. After ruling out a fracture, the player returned to practice, however, until this Monday he worked with the entire group, although they continue to review his evolution.
“After the success with Crotone and on Easter Sunday, Napoli have resumed training today at the Training Center. The Azzurri are preparing for the game against Juventus. The team trained on pitch 1 with aerobic work and technical exercise. It closed with a minor game and a shooting session on goal. David Ospina did the whole group session except the game and the shooting session“, published the Italian team in its official media.
The Colombian remained on the substitute bench in Napoli’s most recent win over Crotone at the Diego Aramando Maradona stadium, in which the team led by Gennaro Gattuso won 4-3. Alex Meret was in charge of taking his place.
David Ospina’s goal is to be available for the match against Juventus, in which both clubs will catch up on the calendar. This Tuesday the player will be evaluated to see if it is possible to include him in the starting lineup.
This season, the ’25’ has been present in 22 games between Serie A, the Italian Cup, the Europa League and the Super Cup. In nine games played, he has managed to clear the goal, while he has received 21 goals. The goalkeeper also adds an assistance during the current year.
The match between Juventus and Napoli, valid for the third date of Serie A (postponed) will be played this Wednesday, April 7 at 11:45 am, Colombian time, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
