190km: Race neutralized! A car blocks the passage on the road, repair in progress. The magic of the World Cycling Championships 197km: João Almeida, his plan is just to cross the finish line out of sheer laziness to give up and spend the rest of the stage in a speeding van. 20km/h. Because since his fall before km 0, he's been riding at the back of the pack, the poor 204km: Well, finally çhe continues to climb, 7' ahead for the lead group then that we approach the only big bumps of the route. 218km: Tutut, the gap is no longer climbing, the big nations are starting to increase; control the rhythm. Nothing that justifies interrupting his nap/sleep in. You can go back to sleep (but keep the 20 Minutes tab open) 226km: The gap is climbing, climbing, climbing. More than five minutes for the leading men in the peloton. But the race is long and difficult, do not panic for the favorites. 246km: The good breakaway is on! No big names at all; forward but that's normal. They are nine in front, among whom we can mention the Latvian Neilands, who had distinguished himself; during the last Tour de France. The gap on the peloton is greater than per minute.254km: Attacks continue to increase at the front of the peloton from small nations. Still no breakaway 264km: Is the final circuit too dangerous?

Everyone agrees to; say that the circuit is very technical, perhaps a little too much. And indeed, beware; the carnage. Victory will be promised to riders able to stay on their bike in difficult conditions. Like Van der Poel and Van Aert, what (I would have added Pogi to this list if he hadn't crashed this year).

Never again, a circuit unworthy of a world championship according to the peloton, so if it rains …. go 40 snowmen to; the finish as best as possible. not all runners who do the vuelta are going to risk themselves. lose a collarbone a few days before departure. 269km: João Almeida fell from the start of the race! An outsider already in the ropes. I think he fell before the real start… Bad luck for the Portuguese. 270km: The first attacks take place at the head of the peloton! It draws everywhere, we follow ça and we take stock as soon as a group is formed 10:40 am: I declare the live open! We are together for almost six hours. Six hours of cycling, with the best of the peloton. It's going to be unbelievable 8am: Hello cyclix! Ready for THE big race of the year?

Lucky ones that we are. Barely out of the men's and women's Tours de France that we are already rocking; on the world championships in Scotland. Line racing promises to be magnificent. On paper, anyway, it is. Everyone is present, except Jonas Vingegaard, who does not really have the punch to triumph on such a course. Remco Evenepoel will try to defend his iridescent tunic against his best rivals: Tadej Pogacar, Mathieu Van der Poel and Wout van Aert. If these four fail to to pack up, the arrival may be suitable for sprinters like Philipsen, Pedersen and Kooij.

>> See you at; 10:40 am for the start of the peloton
