GENEVA (Reuters) – A vaccine against COVID-19 could be ready by the end of the year, World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Tuesday.
The head of WHO called on all leaders to show solidarity and political commitment to ensure an equal distribution of vaccines when they become available.
“We will need vaccines, and there is hope that we will be able to get a vaccine by the end of this year. There is hope,” Tedros said, speaking to the WHO Executive Board.
