The wave of optimism caused by the downward trend of the last few days continues to be observed in the daily reports of the greater Quebec City area. 78 new cases have been confirmed in the Capitale-Nationale and 47 only in Chaudière-Appalaches.

These 78 new infections on the north shore of the river are the lowest total for two months. In fact, we have to go back to November 21, when 65 cases had been diagnosed, to find such an encouraging assessment.
In Chaudière-Appalaches, the situation also continues to improve. 47 new cases are added to the balance sheet, a second day below the psychological bar of 50 infections this week.
Hard hit in the fall, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean is also experiencing a significant improvement in its situation with only 12 cases recorded. Unheard of since the beginning of October.
Despite this good news in terms of daily cases, deaths still continue to pile up. There are 9 in the Capitale-Nationale and 2 in Chaudière-Appalaches on Thursday. 4 are also added to the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean balance sheet.
