The Philadelphia Flyers are the most recent victims of the coronavirus pandemic, as their scheduled game against the Capitals in Washington on Tuesday night was postponed due to the presence of a positive case in their ranks.
Defender Travis Sanheim, who did not participate in Sunday’s duel against the “Caps” had to submit to the protocol relating to COVID-19. On the Washington side, Jakub Vrana suffered the same fate on Saturday.
In the Eastern Section, the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabers saw their activities temporarily halted following a major outbreak of cases.
A breathtaking series
At the same time, a meeting between the St. Louis Blues and the Arizona Coyotes initially scheduled for April 15 has been moved up to Saturday. Both teams had previously been affected by postponements due to outbreaks in their opponents.
The two teams thus find themselves at the heart of a series of seven games without interruption. The Coyotes have won three of the first four matches.
