Ottawa-based company Spartan Biosciences, which embarked on production of its Spartan COVID-19 System for research purposes in the early months of the pandemic, announced in a statement posted on its website on Saturday. .
Health Canada’s approval of the Spartan System opens the door to greater production of the small, cubic-shaped machine, which the company says could create more than 250 “direct and indirect” jobs across the country.
