In the opening match of the ninth round of the Championship, the newcomer of the Coventry City division will take over Reading – we made a prediction.
The Sky Blues have just returned to the Championship this season after a long absence. So far, the team is adapting to new realities, as can be seen from its results. In eight games played, Coventry have won just one 3-2 victory over Queens Park Rangers, and have also managed to score points against Swansea (1-1) and Barnsley (0-0). Mark Robins’ wards lost the other five fights.
Five points scored allowed us to settle in the relegation zone at the 22nd position.
Note that the “sky blue” look very weak in defense. In eight rounds, the team managed to concede 16 goals, no one else has conceded yet.
“Royal”, on the contrary, started this season quite cheerfully, indicating that they are going to solve the most serious problems. So far , Reading has misfired only in the match against Middlesbrough, having played on their field in a 0-0 draw. In the rest of the fights, the team only won, having won the national championship seven times.
Unsurprisingly, Reading is at the top of the standings with such results.
On the road, in addition to a draw with Middlesbrough, the Royals beat quite serious rivals – Cardiff City (2: 1), Derby County (2: 0) and Blackburn (4: 2).
At the moment, Reading is one of the most scoring teams in the Championship. On account of her 15 goals, only Blackburn scored more (18).
Coventry have lost four of their last five league games.
In all four lost matches, the “sky blue” conceded at least twice.
Reading have won seven of their eight games this season.
Tied in four of their last five head-to-head matches at Coventry.
The rivals are now in a different state. Coventry hardly scores (just a goal in four previous matches), but they concede a lot. In “Reading” the situation with the productivity of a lot better. In eight rounds, the Royals have conceded only three times, while they themselves score almost two goals per game on average. There is a reason to put on guests.
Our prediction is Reading’s victory for 2.44 in BC Winline
