Cops drug dealers were detained in Kyiv region with 150 kg of mephedrone and 20 tons of precursors

In Kyiv Oblast, operatives of the Security Service detained drug dealers, from whom they seized a record 20 tons of dope in recent years. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
 
A criminal group operating in the Kyiv region sold wholesale consignments of hard drugs and psychotropic substances abroad.

More than 20 were seized from the perpetrators. tons of precursors for the production of “goods” and almost 150 kg of psychotropic substance – mephedrone for a total amount of over UAH 30 million.

The SBU began developing a gang of drug dealers in March of this year, when it detained the organizer of a criminal group who tried to smuggle 15 kg of psychotropic drugs abroad. 

The detainee turned out to be an exposé of the National Police unit for combating drug crime.  < /p>

In the drug trade, he involved his former colleague, who helped him find smugglers to smuggle illegal substances through the so-called “green”. 
 
At the final stage of the special operation in the Kyiv region, a third member of the group was detained, who provided “communication” drug dealers with accomplices.  

The werewolves received "goods"  for sale from two drug laboratories in the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, which produced industrial quantities of mephedrone.

SBU investigators informed the three detainees of suspicion under part 3 of Art. 305 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors or falsified medicinal products). 

 
They are currently in custody. An investigation is ongoing to bring to justice all persons involved in the exposed drug business. The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison.
