Contract students will be able to receive grants for studies in Diya

Grants for education/Action

Students enrolled in the contract form of education will receive financial support from the state for the first time. The grant partially or fully covers the cost of education.

This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov.

The minister said that in 2024, students who entered into a contract for the first time will receive a grant that will cover part or all of the cost of education. They can be obtained by those people who study on a full-time or dual basis for a bachelor's or master's degree in medical, veterinary, pharmaceutical fields.

This year we are introducing study grants. The history of grants is revolutionary for the Ukrainian education system. For young people, this is an opportunity to learn the profession of their dreams, and not to choose the one for which there will be enough money for a contract. Grants for universities – it is motivation to become better and fight for every student. This approach should stimulate competition between higher education institutions, and universities will begin to care more about the quality of education, teaching staff, development of science and innovation, – said Mykhailo Fedorov.

For those who passed the NMT in at least two subjects:

  • for 150 points, the grant will amount to UAH 15,000+;
  • < li>for 170 points – UAH 25,000+.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

According to the minister, the amount of the grant may be higher depending on the coefficient. At the same time, it is known that students will not have money physically, but they will have a certificate in the “Action” application. The grant is awarded for the academic year and is paid to the university in two installments – for two semesters.

Who can receive the money:

The Ministry of Education and Science said that an applicant who:

  • can receive a grantenrolls in a bachelor's degree (or master's degree in medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy) after school or college;
  • enters a full-time or dual form of contract education;
  • has NMT results (ZNO) in any two subjects with grades of at least 150 points (first-level grant) or at least 170 points (second-level grant).

How to use the certificate:

  • Update Action.
  • Find “Study Certificate” in the list of documents.
  • Click “Get a grant”.
  • From September 15 to November 5, activate the Diya.Signature grant.
  • The action will notify you when the university receives the money from your grant.

The certificate will be issued annually in Diya. Such an approach – about equal access to education for all students regardless of financial capabilities. It is also an additional incentive for students to study better in order to receive help from the state for higher education.
