Ukraine is considering the possibility of discarding the term "limited use" to military service and replace it with the division of conscripts into two categories: suitable and unsuitable.
According to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, he gave recommendations to settle the issues of “limitedly suitable” and “unsuitable” or “fully suitable” through military professions.
"The solution is to remove this "limited fit". A citizen must be either fit for military service or unfit. If, due to his health, a person is not fit to perform combat tasks with a machine gun in his hands right on the front line and he has, for example, problems with his spine.
But he can be in the headquarters or in the missile forces, can be engaged in IT military direction. That is, all this must be regulated, – said Lubinets on the telethon
According to him, in Ukraine there are often cases when healthy men are recognized as “unfit”, while people with pronounced and long-term health problems are included in the category of “limited fit”. health problems, then he is suitable for serving in such and such troops, which, for example, are not connected to the front line, explained the authorized representative of the VR.
