Borussia Monchengladbach defeated 2 to 1 to Freiburg in a match that had as protagonist to a team by time and in the second half, a very important participation of the VAR, that annulled two goals: one for each.
The Borussia Monchengladbach beat 3-0 at Schalke 04 in their previous league match. Those of Marco Rose They are in tenth position with 36 points, seven behind Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League qualification zone respectively.

The second goal came quickly: a deep pass to Thuram that no defender could intercept and the french attacker passed the goalkeeper on the right and turned with empty bow. And on the next play, Thuram took a good shot from the left towards the far post, but the ball went very close.

A few minutes later, the Gladbach had managed to score the third goal, but referee Christian Dingert decided to review the play in the VAR and annulled the goal due to a previous infringement by Stefan Lainer on Manuel Gulde. The Colts they were getting closer and closer to ending the meeting and the visit did not know what to do.
In the final moments not much happened and Dingert added five minutes. Already in the last minute discount, Keven Schlotterbeck finished off from first and from the left towards the first stick and converted the equality. When everyone was in full celebration, the referee received the call from the VAR and disallowed the goal for an offside at the start of the play.
