Colonies of bacteria: Scientists have named the dirtiest part of the human body

Many people know about the importance of observing the rules of personal hygiene, especially since this is of the greatest importance in the prevention of various diseases. Only few people guessed which part of the human body is the dirtiest and literally teeming with bacteria and other microorganisms.

Meanwhile, as a result of the study, scientists managed to find out which part of the human body should be considered the most dirty. This scientific work was carried out by specialists from the University of North Carolina. Scientists back in 2012 studied the composition of microbes in the navels of about six dozen volunteers in the study. As a result, it was found that in terms of the diversity of microorganisms, the navel may well be compared with a dense tropical forest, so turbulent life “boils” in it.

The problem, experts are convinced, is that many people rarely wash this part of the body, and therefore whole colonies of pathogenic bacteria, microbes and other microorganisms gradually accumulate in it.
