Apple TV+, which acquired the rights to make the film about the Royal Motor Race, has commissioned the production of the series Sugar, written by Mark Protosevich (“I am – legend”). Colin Farrel (Northern Waters) will star in the series.
In addition, Farrell and Protosevich will serve as executive producers, sharing duties with Simon Kinberg (“The New Mutants”), Audrey Chon (“Invasion&# 8221;), Scott Greenberg (“Vinny”) and Fernando Meirellis. Fernando Meirelles will take the director's chair.
The action of the detective series will unfold in Los Angeles. Other details about the project are being kept under wraps for now. In December 2021, it became known that Apple TV+ outbid Netflix and received the rights to the series in a competitive fight.
Recall that the Apple TV video service presented the first trailer for the psychological thriller “Black Bird” (Blackbird). The series stars Theron Egerton (Rocketman) and Paul Walter Hauser (Desperate Housewives).
