Alexey Karnaukhov, senior researcher at the Institute of Cell Biophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, named the global dangers that threaten humanity. The climatologist stated, among other things, an increase in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system.
The specialist described the constant warming of the lower layers of the planet's air basin. The main reason is industrial and domestic carbon dioxide emissions. The drainage of bogs should be recognized as a negative phenomenon, which also leads to negative consequences, the same applies to the mass deforestation. Karnaukhov, during his speech at a press conference in the Patriot media group, spoke about the situation. Low temperatures are also harmful to humans, as well as high ones, however, in countries with a cold climate, life expectancy is slightly higher than average, which is confirmed by statistics. Further, the climatologist noted that the formation of carbon dioxide occurs during slow fermentation processes, decay of organic matter and various oxidative processes. Human exhalation of carbon dioxide should also be considered. It is also formed during the combustion of fuel and the decomposition of natural carbonates.
The specialist gives a pessimistic forecast that in addition to global warming, the emergence of a new virus may threaten humanity. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the danger of nuclear war, as well as the accelerated melting of the Greenland ice.
