It makes me happy that people remember Julien
Viewers are still having trouble recovering from your departure, what do you think?
It touches me and it makes me happy that people remember Julien and that they liked the character. He was a joke, but he had a good background. I really enjoyed playing this character, it was great. I remember the effect of his departure, the reaction of people had touched me a lot.
Are you still following the show?
I don't have TV at home, I never watch TV so neither does Clem .
I was the one who asked from Clem
Even if Julien is dead, would you like to come back to Clem?
In fact, I was the one who asked to leave, so it wasn't to come back afterwards. It was really a voluntary choice because I had been there for 4 seasons and even though I really liked the character and the shooting, it was a little redundant for me. It was always kind of the same kind of scene. This is the first time that I say it, but at the time, the shooting prevented me from making several films and castings. I wanted to be an actor and not just play in Clem . I had signed a contract for a film, but there were issues with the dates. So I didn't make the film to stay in Clem because I was morally committed, I wanted to stay loyal. But I had warned them that I would be leaving the following year. I have no regrets. I loved shooting this series, I learned a lot of things.
Did you stay in touch with certain actors?
Yes, with Lucie in particular. Elodie too. It's a bit the same on the shoots, we are very close and afterwards, life does that and we lose sight of each other. Afterwards, if Lucie calls me tomorrow, I would be very happy to talk to her. We saw each other two or three times after I left.
What are your future projects?
I'm going to play in a biopic on Simone Veil, I play her husband, Antoine Veil. As it is throughout his life, we are two Antoine. It's directed by Olivier Dahan, who made La Môme . I was very proud to be able to interpret Antoine Veil, he was an incredible man who helped Simone. It was great.
