Clearing memory on a smartphone - how to do it without deleting apps

Mobile phones have become indispensable assistants, but lack of memory remains a common problem. You can free up space on your device even without deleting important files.

UNIAN writes about this.

How to clear memory on Xiaomi smartphones

Users of smartphones of this brand must perform certain steps, namely:

  • open the settings;
  • go to the “Storage” or “Memory and storage” section;
  • select the “Clear data/cache”.

This way you can free up space occupied by temporary files.

How to clear memory on Samsung smartphones

Users of smartphones from the well-known Korean manufacturer also have the opportunity to free up memory on the device without having to delete applications. To do this, you need to:

  • transfer photos and videos to the cloud (Google Photos, Dropbox);
  • clear the cache in settings;
  • use memory optimization applications, such as CCleaner;
  • copy data to an external drive;
  • delete unnecessary applications.

To free up internal memory, you should also close applications that you are not using, even if the phone automatically optimizes them in the background. This will save more space and increase the speed of the device.
