The developers of Civilization 7 have updated the status of the game, which is set to be released on February 11.
The new Civilization 7 game appears to be fully ready for release. Game developer Firaxis Games has announced that the project has officially gone gold, 3 weeks before its scheduled release date. It is scheduled for February 11, writes Insider Gaming.
This message was left by the developer on his social media page.
“We have reached 'gold'. Civilization 7 has officially gone gold — we are ready to hit the shelves on February 11,” — Firaxis Games said in a statement.
Going gold usually means that unless something extraordinary happens, there are no delays in the game's release.
Once the game is officially released, it will be available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The game will support full crossplay on launch day — multiplayer mode between players using different hardware platforms, such as game consoles, PCs, etc.
Those players who pre-order one of the most expensive versions of the game will be able to access Civilization 7 on February 6, 5 days earlier than Standard Edition owners.
Players will be able to run Civilization 7 on Intel Core i3-101000 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processors and Nvidia GTX 1050 and AMD RX 460 graphics cards.
But if you want the highest settings in the game, then you will need at least an Intel 14th generation processor or AMD Ryzen 9 5950X along with Nvidia RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7800XT.
