On Thursday, September 19, the National Coordination Center for Cyber Security (NCCC) decided to limit the use of the Telegram messenger in government agencies, military formations and critical infrastructure facilities.

In order to minimize threats, a decision was made to prohibit the installation and use of Telegram on official devices of employees of state authorities, military personnel, employees of the security and defense sector, as well as companies operating critical infrastructure.
It is noted that the exception will be only those persons for whom the use of this messenger is part of their official duties.
The head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov cited reasonable data regarding the availability of access by the Russian special services to the personal correspondence of Telegram users, even deleted messages, as well as their personal data.
